| Elver Valley Farm Bed & Breakfast and Cabin is located between the
Brandywine Valley and the Lancaster County Dutch country.
Nestled among woodland, the streams and greenery provide a relaxing atmosphere overlooking water gardens, and miniature railroad gardern. From the breakfast table, observe a dozen varieties of birds feeding, and squirrels as they scamper across the lawn, up and down the tall trees and hide amongst the ferns. Our quiet country setting allows guests to "notice the difference" in this friendly atmosphere.
Telephone, (use calling card), fax and email are available. No stairs. Easy access to the four-seat swing gazebo overlooking the streams and occasionally an Amish farmer on the road with his team of mules heading to help his neighbor. A full breakfast is served, Chester County mushrooms on request. Occasionally hosts Elvin and Vera will join the guests and have a getting acquainted time and sharing life styles. Vera enioys telling the history of the Amish and their way of life.
Overlooking a one-half acre pond, look for frogs and feed the fish as you throw them pieces of bread. Better yet, get in the row boat and take a fishing pole. Children can use popcorn for bait. Even moms don’t like putting worms on the hook. In hot weather take a swim, splash in the stream, build dams and swing on the rope. Picnic tables are convenient for a meal outside by the fireplace, a good setting for a campfire. A pasture with assorted farm animals to feed.
A bedroom with two double beds, a double bunk bed and couches sleeps at least twelve. The bathroom has hot and cold water shower. Families are welcome. Cabin guests are asked to bring double sheets and towels. |
